A Tale Of Two Conventions – A Photo Essay

This year (2013) I attended both E3 and Gamescom, both being massive moments on the gaming calendar. I took the opportunity to take a lot of photos at both events and have whittled them down to the ones you see below.

The Location

Both conventions take place in two of the most amazing cities, Los Angeles and Cologne.

Putting together the stands was a huge undertaking by many of my colleagues. They did an awesome job.

The Crowds

48,200 people attended the E3 trade event and 340,000 fans walked through the halls of Gamescom.

At the Theatre

Many of the demos at both events took place in cinemas. It gave those attending a chance to experience the games in an incredible atmosphere with the developers.

The Cinema Screen

At both E3 and Gamescom we had a huge 190 degree cinema screen entertaining the crowds with special versions of the trailers showcasing the new games.

The Statues

Seeing characters from the different games brought to life was at times stunning.

Although hard work it is always sad to leave.
